About Me

Hello!

My name is Brittany Santana. I am a single mother of two (daughter, Catarina, 8, son, Korvin, 7) with a passion for kids. This is my first year teaching kindergarten. I have experience teaching chemistry, physical science with a mentor teacher at Andrew Jackson High School followed by 8th grade science for one year. Although, I have a passion for science, I didn't feel the age group suits my personality, so I decided to teach at the kindergarten or first grade levels.

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Edward Waters College with a bachelor's in biology. I have taken various education courses through the University of North Florida and now the Educator Preparation Institute at Florida State College of Jacksonville. I look forward to helping my students learn the kindergarten standards and prepare them for the 1st grade.  As we go through the school year I look forward to learning as much from them as possible.
